2009 International Honors Institute 2009 International Honors Institute will provide approximately 400 participants with a week of intensive study of the 2008-2010 Honors Study Topic, The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges, and Consequences.
The 2008-2010 Honors Study Topic - The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges, and Consequences - provides avenues for honors students to enrich their scholarly endeavors with the interdisciplinary exploration of a timely topic and then apply their knowledge as servant leaders in the college and the community. Scholarship Focus: The All-USA Community College Academic Team annually recognizes 20 outstanding two-year college students, offering stipends of $2,500. All receive extensive national recognition through coverage in USA TODAY. The All-State Community College Academic Team annually recognizes 50 New Century, 50 Gold, 50 Silver, and 50 Bronze Scholars with each scholar receiving a stipend and recognition in USA TODAY. 150 national finalists also receive stipends. The Guistwhite Scholarship Program awards twenty qualifying students scholarships of $5,000 each, for completion of baccalaureate degrees.
