How can you support the current goals and projects of the AAC? My plan to fully support the goals of the alumni council are to remain fully active with the association as I have been and keep communications high with alumni. My past experience with Phi Theta Kappa as a chapter and International officer combined with my dedication would serve as a benefit to the AAC as I can provide new initiatives and ideas to help support goals and projects.

Induction date: 2004
Two-year college graduation year: 2005
Phi Theta Kappa Alumna since:2005
Alumni Association Affiliation: Virginia Region Alumni Association

How can you support the current goals and projects of the AAC? I will support the AAC through my love and zeal for Phi Theta Kappa and the values held therein. I am dedicated to completing duties. Communication is paramount to success thus an innate quality I possess. My enthusiasm is said to be contagious. I am passionate regarding serving others. Being a team player is something I enjoy but am able to work independently as well. In short, I will give my all for the betterment of the organization. Project Idea to Present: I propose the Alumni Advisory Council adopt a ‘direct communication campaign’ in which AAC representatives would be delegated an equal amount of alumni associations. Each representative would contact association presidents quarterly to offer encouragement and act as a liaison between the association and International as needed. As a group, the AAC will confer about particular concerns said association may incur and determine appropriate suggestions for given situations. This direct communication will help foster a more fluid relationship between alumni associations and the AAC. I further propose the election of AAC representatives be available to all alumni through mass media (possibly via Facebook or direct email notification.) Candidates would need to apply earlier in the year to accomplish this feat. Election results would be announced during the Annual Convention. This procedure would allow alumni who may not be able to attend convention the opportunity to voice their opinion.

How can you support the current goals and projects of the AAC? Having been heavily involved with the International Alumni Association for more than 5 years, I believe there is a great deal I can offer. I have years of fundraising and development experience, with both Phi Theta Kappa, and other organizations. Over the last 10 years, with experience and training from Phi Theta Kappa and including involvement with many alumni associations, I’ve learned to engage and motivate students and alumni alike. Additionally, my geographic location and contacts put me in a unique position to help and participate in the AAC’s newest, exciting project, the alumni socials. I can easily help with and attend events all over the East Coast. Also my technical and IT skills can be used to advance a main goal of the AAC, ongoing communication.

Terri Williamson (OH)Two-year college: Stark State College
Two-year chapter: Beta Gamma Epsilon
Induction date: February 2004
Two-year college graduation year: 2006
Phi Theta Kappa Alumna Member since: 2008
Alumni Association Affiliation: Alpha of Ohio
Phi Theta Kappa offices held/honors received:
How can you support the current goals and projects of the AAC? Several years ago when I was chapter president, my officer team created the position of Alumni Liaison and I am currently serving in that position. As such, I have already been supporting many of the goals and projects of the AAC. For example, I and several other chapter alumni actively participate in both chapter and regional events. I encourage graduating members to become alumni and remain active. I have presented proposals on the chapter and regional level to institute an alumni recognition program in an effort to increase alumni participation. I am currently working on a letter, which will be sent to all Beta Gamma Epsilon alumni asking for their support on the Hites Scholarship challenge. Regardless as to if I am elected to this position or not, I will continue in my efforts to support Phi Theta Kappa.
