Phi Theta Kappa’s partnership with Better World Books is an ideal way for chapters to raise funds while also ensuring a cleaner environment. Recycling used textbooks is an ideal way to promote Phi Theta Kappa’s new International Service Program, Operation Green: Improving Our Communities, on your campus. To date, more than 8 million pounds of books have been kept out of landfills through Better World Books’ book drives.
Better World Books has four primary literacy partners, Books for Africa, Room to Read, National Center for Family Literacy and the World Education and Development Fund, encompassing national and global literacy issues. Your chapter can chose one of these four organizations to be the recipient of the donations that your chapter collects on your campus.
