Phi Theta Kappa's Honors Programs seeks to enrich the academic experience of Phi Theta Kappa members through the Honors Study Topic and the programs which emanate from it, including the annual International Honors Institute.

The facets of Honors Programs:
- The Honors Study Topic brings important, current issues to the fore and encourages Phi Theta Kappa members to examine how these issues affect their lives.
- The Honors Program Guide includes resources devoted to the Honors Study Topic and provides avenues for honors students to enrich their scholarly endeavors with the interdisciplinary exploration of a timely topic and then apply their knowledge as servant leaders in the college and the community.
- The annual International Honors Institute is an intense six-day educational conference. Institute participants explore the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Study Topic through speaker presentations, small group discussions, experiential activities and field trips.
- Take the Case Study Challenge by using articles from USA TODAY to conduct a case study on the Honors Study Topic.
- The Honors Seminar Series is a series of lectures, presented by renowned speakers on various aspects of the Honors Study Topic, which will be broadcast via C-band and Ku-band satellite to college campuses across the nation. Seminars are also available via online video download and web stream.
- Faculty Scholars serve as seminar leaders during the annual International Honors Institute.
- The Honors Program Committee biennially selects the Honors Study Topic.
- Phi Theta Kappa is part of the Alliance for Excellence.
