Phi Theta Kappa - Honor Society

Phi Theta Kappa Honors Program Committee

The Phi Theta Kappa Honors Study Topic is selected biennially by the Honors Program Committee. The Committee is chaired by Phi Theta Kappa's Dean of Academic Affairs and Honors Programs and is composed of Phi Theta Kappa regional coordinators, faculty advisors and consultants. The field representatives on the Committee serve four-year terms. Honors Program Committee members serve as Faculty Scholars during the Honors Institute (held annually in June/July). They also attend the Faculty Scholar Conference (held annually in January/February) in order to prepare for their role as Faculty Scholars at Honors Institute.

The Committee is selected for its broad knowledge of international issues, its experience in coordinating college honors programs, and its balance in geography and academic disciplines. The Committee contributes substantially to the development of the Honors Program Guide and to the ideas for presentations, speakers and field trips at the Honors Institute. The Honors Program Committee also makes recommendations for speakers for the Faculty Scholar Conference and the Honors Seminar Series.
